Virtual counselling for trauma and attachment wounds

Trauma & Attachment Wounds

Past experiences and relationships can leave imprints that shape how you see yourself, connect with others, and move through the world. This might include family dynamics, attachment wounds, or cultural and religious messages that shaped your sense of safety and worth. Together, we’ll explore these patterns with care—helping you process unresolved trauma and relational wounds so you can feel safer, more secure in your relationships, and more trusting of yourself.

Online therapy for perfectionism and people-pleasing

People-Pleasing & Perfectionism

You’re used to being the one who keeps it all together—meeting everyone’s expectations while putting your own needs last. Together, we’ll explore where these patterns began and gently work to heal what’s underneath, so you can set boundaries with confidence, release unrealistic standards, and start feeling “enough” just as you are.

Therapy for anxiety and stress management online in BC

Anxiety & Overthinking

The constant overthinking. The racing thoughts. The tightness in your chest when you try to rest. Anxiety can feel all-consuming, but it doesn’t have to control your life. We’ll work on quieting your inner critic, calming your nervous system, and building tools to feel more grounded and present in your day-to-day.

Counselling for self-esteem and confidence building

Boundaries & Self-Worth

Healthy boundaries aren’t about pushing people away—they’re about honouring your needs and desires without guilt. Together, we’ll explore the deeper patterns that make boundary-setting feel so hard and work to strengthen your sense of worth, so you can show up more confidently and authentically in your relationships.

Virtual therapy for anxiety and overwhelm

Life Transitions

Big changes—whether chosen or unexpected—can leave you feeling unsettled and overwhelmed. Together, we’ll process the emotions that come with endings and new beginnings, so you can stay grounded, honour your needs, and navigate what’s next with more clarity and confidence.

Approaches

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches—tailored to your needs—to help you process what’s been holding you back and build new ways of relating to yourself and others. Click below to learn more about how each approach supports healing and growth.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy

EMDR is an evidence based approach that helps the brain and nervous system process unresolved trauma and distressing experiences. Often, painful memories get “stuck” in the body in ways that keep triggering anxiety, self-doubt, or reactivity in the present. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (like eye movements or tapping) to help you reprocess these memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. This can lead to lasting relief and a sense of freedom from patterns rooted in the past.

  • Internal Family Systems Therapy

IFS is a gentle, compassionate way of working with the different “parts” of yourself—like the inner critic, the overachiever, or the part of you that feels deeply hurt. These parts often developed as protective responses to difficult experiences, but they can leave you feeling stuck or fragmented. IFS helps you connect with and heal these parts, creating more inner harmony, self-compassion, and a stronger sense of your authentic self.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

ACT focuses on building emotional flexibility and helping you create a life aligned with your values—even in the presence of difficult thoughts or feelings. Rather than trying to “get rid of” anxiety or self-doubt, ACT helps you relate to them differently so they no longer dictate your choices. This approach can support you in moving toward what matters most with clarity and confidence.

  • Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy

AEDP is a relational, experiential approach designed to help heal emotional wounds in the context of a supportive therapeutic relationship. It works by gently accessing and processing core emotions—like fear, grief, or shame—so they no longer feel overwhelming or stuck. This process often leads to a sense of release, emotional resilience, and deeper connection to yourself and others.

  • Mindfulness helps you notice your thoughts, emotions, and body sensations without getting caught up in them. This practice can reduce stress, quiet overthinking, and increase your ability to stay present—even during difficult moments.

  • Somatic approaches bring the body into the healing process, helping to release stress, tension, and trauma stored in your nervous system. By tuning into physical sensations, you can learn to regulate emotions and feel more grounded in your day-to-day life.

  • Attachment work explores how your early relationships shaped your sense of safety, connection, and self-worth. Together, we’ll identify and shift patterns rooted in these experiences so you can feel more secure in yourself and your relationships today.
